Travelling to Easter Island? Having difficulty packing? We have you covered! Below is our complete packing list with items needed and full grocery list! We stayed 6 days (5 nights) on the island.
We each checked one bag on the way there. One bag contained our clothes and the other was full of food. On the LATAM flights to Easter Island, you are allowed two checked bags.

Grocery List:

Food is expensive on Easter Island. Seeing as it’s an isolated island 3,600km+ from mainland Chile, most items are brought in. We estimate that food costs were approximately 30% more than what we have seen in Santiago. We planned in advance to make most of our meals in our AirBnB in Hanga Roa, as we were sticking to a strict budget! We ended up purchasing some coffees and empanadas while on Easter Island, but brought everything else! We had leftover (uncooked) lentils and rice and so we brought these items back to Santiago.

For breakfast:

Oatmeal
Bananas
Peanuts
Coffee/tea (we forgot to to bring coffee, but wish we did)

For lunch:

Loaf of bread
Sandwich fixings (condiments, lettuce, turkey, cheese slices)
Carrots and celery sticks
Fruit (apples, pears)

For dinner:

Pasta
Chicken
Veggies (green pepper, onion, mushrooms, broccoli)
Pasta sauce
Rice
Lentils
Bottle of wine

Snacks:

Crackers
Cookies
Gummy bears
Granola bars
