These reviews are based on our personal experience in the lounges. Food and beverage selection may differ at other times.

Calama El Loa Airport Pacific Club

Calama El Loa airport loungeThe Pacific Club is a fairly no-frills lounge in a small airport. There is plenty of seating, including a TV room. The main room has twenty-five armchairs and four round café tables with two chairs each. Some of the chairs still contained crumbs from previous patrons. The room is well lit with windows making up two of its walls. We enjoyed the view of the planes zooming by in front of a mountainous desert backdrop. Window in El Loa lounge CalamaThe single person washrooms were just barely big enough for one person and it was evident that cleanliness was not a top priority. In addition, we were bombarded with the smell of cigarette smoke from time to time. We suspected the smoke was coming from employees smoking in the back.Calama El Loa airport loungeThe scarce food selection consisted of white bread with jam or avocado spreads, a lentil/vegetable soup (the best option), some bruised apples, and a series of small breads with different toppings including tuna and egg salad. Against my best judgement, I sampled the tuna “sandwich” and it actually was not terrible. To our delight, nacho chips were added later, which curbed our desire for a snack item.Calama El Loa airport loungeDrinks included a coffee machine, tea with kettle, water and various sodas. The full service bar had a bell to ring to summon the bartender to serve. There was Heineken beer on tap along with the usual spirits, a red and white wine and two other local beers in cans. Calama El Loa airport loungeOur car rental return time and our flight time did not sync particularly well so we spent a few hours in the lounge. The comfort of the seats and decent wifi speed (anywhere between 20-90mb/sec) was our saving grace, as we were both able to comfortably get some work done.

Our overall rating: 4.5/10

Santiago International Airport Salones VIP Pacific Club (International Terminal)

Sanitago Airport Pacific ClubLocated near gate 20A, this is a fairly large lounge with ample seating. It is split into two sides with identical buffets. One side contains cafeteria-style tables of various sizes with moveable chairs, while the other side has rows of fixed cushioned chairs without tables. There is a dark, quiet room designated for guests requiring total silence.Sanitago Airport Pacific ClubThe buffet contained cold cuts, cheese, peas, corn, olives and bread, as well as a selection of ham or tuna sandwiches on stale bread. The hot foods were all empty, with the exception of a few pieces of scrambled eggs that had seen better days. There was fresh fruit, cereal, and granola. Sanitago Airport Pacific ClubA fresh juice machine was present, and a fridge containing soda, juice and water. The coffee multi-option machine made me a decent americano. The full service bar was closed, presumably because it was 7:30am.
Most of the tables were not clean, with crumbs and coffee stains prevalent, but employees were in the midst of cleaning.Sanitago Airport Pacific ClubThe wifi was decent (for Chilean standards) and the lounge also contained shower facilities.

Our overall rating: 6.5/10

Santiago International Airport Avianca Sala VIP (International Terminal)

Santiago International Airport Avianca LoungeThis lounge is a tale of two experiences. The first was great and the second, not so much. It is not easy to find, as signage is almost non-existent. Near gate 12B, we needed to go down one level and make a sharp right turn to find it tucked away in the corner.
Upon check in the first time we visited this lounge, we were informed that there was no alcohol available, because the stock had run dry. This is likely because we were visiting during a week with two holidays. This was not a problem for us, as it was before 8:00am. However, the second time we used this lounge, there was also no alcohol at 7:00pm. That time, we were not sure why.
Santiago International Airport Avianca LoungeThe lounge is not incredibly large, so it can fill up pretty quickly when there are a lot of guests. The first time we visited, it was nearly empty. The second time was very busy and loud which made it nearly impossible to get work done. On both occasions, the tables were all clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. There is a “Relaxing Room” containing comfortable chairs and “Productivity Room” with tablets to use.
Santiago International Airport Avianca LoungeThe wifi has three different servers and all three were adequate for speed during our first visit. On our second visit, it cut out constantly and speeds were less than 10mb/sec. On a positive note, there are charging stations in various spots in the lounge with multiple cords for different devices to charge.
Santiago International Airport Avianca LoungeDuring both visits, the best part of the lounge was the food. Although there was no hot food available, there was plenty of delicious options to choose from, as well as a small oven to warm up sandwiches and pastries like mini empanadas. Along with fresh breads, there was an assortment of cheeses, smoked salmon, turkey, roast beef, ham, pastries, sliced fruit and mini gourmet sandwiches. To satisfy one’s sweet tooth, there was also a large selection of sweets and cakes available, as well as coffee, tea, soda and water (regular and sparkling). During our morning visit, there was regular and greek yogurts and cereals.
Santiago International Airport Avianca LoungeBeing in a basement with small windows, there was no view but the lighting was bright.
The bathroom cleanliness varied between our two visits.

Our overall rating: 8/10 on our first visit and 6.5/10 on the second

Santiago International Airport Primeclass Condor (Domestic Terminal)

Well lit with comfortable seating, this lounge has a very attentive staff. They are constantly wiping tables, picking up used plates and refreshing the buffet. The lounge itself is not particularly large, but with less than 20 guests, it did not feel crowded. Most of the tables are sectioned into groups of 2, with privacy barriers between. This made us feel as though we had our own booth to ourselves!Santiago International Airport Primeclass Condor LoungeThere is a small children’s play area, as well as a quiet, relaxing area. In addition, there is a small meeting room for privacy. The single person bathrooms are clean and there is a shower room as well.Santiago International Airport Primeclass Condor LoungeThe full service bar is equipped with a bartender to serve all the usual libations. At lunch time, the buffet had an array of options ranging from hot chicken with a creamy vegetable sauce, seasoned potatoes, sushi, smoked meats and cheeses, as well as sandwiches. Coffee, tea, soft drinks and water were also available.Santiago International Airport Primeclass Condor LoungeThe wifi was particularly fast for Chilean standards, with speed tests reaching from 70mb/sec to 120mb/sec!
Overall, the Primeclass Condor lounge was a clean and comfortable place to get some work done and relax for a couple of hours.

Santiago International Airport The Lounge (International Terminal)

The Lounge is a fairly basic lounge with basic amenities. There are multiple rooms, all of which contain comfortable armchairs with charging ports nearby. The Lounge Santiago International AirportOne of the rooms was labelled a “resting zone” with dim lights and reclining chairs. There are also computers and a printer which can be connected wirelessly for any business needs. A good perk of this lounge was the wifi speed, with tests ringing in at almost 60mb/sec. The Lounge Santiago International AirportThe hot food selection included chicken and mashed potatoes. There was an unappetizing salad, some seemingly week old donuts along with some fresh fruit, cereal and peanuts. Before we left, a tray of nachos and a cheese plate were added. The Lounge Santiago International Airport All the usual drinks were available such as soda, water (regular and sparkling) as well as coffee and tea. In terms of alcohol, there was a full DIY bar with a couple of beer options, spirits, and a large selection of white and red wines to choose from, since we are in Chile after all!The Lounge Santiago International AirportThe Lounge was very busy, as there are almost twenty credit cards that give access. Overall, it is a comfortable place to get some work done along with a snack and drink before your flight.
