Both of our credit cards provide us with Priority Pass memberships, and sometimes we are lucky enough to travel in business class. This allows us access to airport lounges all over the world. Our reviews are based solely on our individual experiences in the specific lounge at the time of day we visited. These opinions may or may not be the same as other guests. We visited Jordan in April 2019. Below are our unbiased reviews of the airport lounges we had a chance to visit.
Amman Queen Alia International Airport
Petra Lounge
The Layout
The Petra Lounge is a modern space with elegant couches and armchairs throughout. Near the food buffet is another area with four-seater tables, all pre-set for guests to dine. The staff is friendly and helpful, quick to provide assistance and tidy tables.
Food and Drink
During our evening visit, the food selection was excellent, with a mixture of middle eastern and western dishes. There was also a huge salad bar offering a variety of vegetables and dips. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks were available, as well as a couple of spirits, local wine, and beer. In the lounge area, there was a dessert bar with cakes and treats to satisfy those with a sweet tooth.
Other Amenities/Factors
The bathrooms were spotless, as well as the overall lounge. There are also two smoking rooms and a prayer room.
Wifi Speeds
Wifi speeds clocked in at 4mb/s DL and 0.60mb/sec UL.
Conclusion
Overall, the Petra Lounge was one of the best lounges we’ve visited. It was well laid out, clean, and modern with excellent food and staff. With faster wifi speeds, it would be even better.
Our overall rating: 9.5/10
